Fundraising walkathon

Fundraising WalkathonThe Joe Isa/Holy Cross Scholarship Fund Foundation held another of its fundraising walkathon last week in Ocho Rios which was well attended. The Foundation, since its inception nearly a year ago, has been assisting needy students acquire tertiary education.

Mr. Issa, the son of tourism mogul, John Issa and his entrepreneurial wife, Aida, has been putting a lot of time into the charity event and according to him will ensure that a number of students will not be denied the chance to get a quality education. Ably assisted by committee members, Paula Thompson, Caroline Grant, Tanya Phillips and Barbara Evons, Mr. Issa has been embarking on a very good cause and one that will benefit a lot of children and will also go a long way in helping to alleviate illiteracy in the society.
