The Cool Oasis Petroleum chain is now one of the largest petroleum retailers in Jamaica.
The group, which recently acquired three stations in St. James – Montego Bay, Granville and Ironshore, is looking to acquire several more during the next 12 months.
The Joey Issa-led Group which now owns and operates twenty service stations islandwide, has been short-listed for a bid to acquire the Shell Company’s Service Stations.
The Group’s Montego Bay-based attorney, Clayton Morgan, stated that the company is likely to acquire another Montego Bay station before year-end. “I cannot disclose the details at this time except say that negotiations are taking place. You will have to contact Joe Issa for further details,” Mr. Morgan said.
The Cool Group is also the island’s largest retailer of telephone card. Cool Cards is one of the most popular calling cards and is retailed not only at the service stations but at several outlets islandwide.
