In keeping with its recent commitment to its staff, the only group of Super-inclusive resorts, SuperClubs, hosted a lavish fun day for members of staff at the exclusive James Bond Beach in Oracabess recently. The prodeedings were officially declared open by Custos Rotulorum of St. Mary, Hon AA (Bobby) Pottinger who congratulated SuperClubs on their fine record of achievement and lauded the group for their contribution to the development of tourism in the parish where Superclubs has two properties, Boscobel Beach and Sans Souci Lido.
The custos said that the current programme of staff incentives introduced by Superclubs under its People Development Programme is unprecedented in the history of industrial relations in Jamaica. He said that in the same way the all-inclusive concept pioneered by Superclubs chairman John Issa has been much copied, he fully expected other to again follow Superclubs’ lead and devise programmes of their own.
Senior Vice President of Superclubs, Joe Issa welcomed the workers and congratulated them on being in the historic first batch of employees to participate in a supersplash party. In his address Mr. Issa said that several tourism workers have called Superclubs to say that they are happy with the example the group has set and expressed the hope that it would motivate their employers to act. Vice President of Human Resources at Superclubs, Noel Brown and HRD Consultant Dr. Leaheim Semaj also addressed the group.
Following the opening ceremony, staffers were treated to a day of unbridled fun!! Helitours was on hand to provide helicopter rides as a wide variety of food and beverage was served all day.
