Bellmore, N.Y. – After nearly five months of construction, the first SuperClubs Vacation Store officially opened on March 24 inside a Carlson Wagonlit Travel leisure agency here owned by Ellen and Sy Lassman.
The Lassmans celebrated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and open house with such guests as Nassau County Executive Thomas Gulotta; Joseph Issa, SuperClubs’ executive vice president; Michael Batt, Carlson Leisure Group president and chief executive officer, and Roger Block, executive vice president of the associate division.
Designed to offer a smattering of what SuperClubs resorts represent, the agency features its own beach area, mini-golf course, wedding gazebo, bedroom with bath, dining terrace, check-in desk and photo panels of the SuperClubs brands.
The agency was also open for general viewing on March 25, giving its clients the chance to experience the vacation store firsthand.
