Mark Zapatka ’87 received the JD/ JF O’Connell award from the Holy Cross Economics Organization for his essay entitled “An Ounce of Preservation is worth a Pound of Cure: An Old Saying Makes a Present Day Comeback.” The essay appeared in the second Holy Cross Journal of Political Economy which was distributed to economics and accounting majors on Wednesday. Zapatka is shown here with Joe Issa ’88 and J.F. O’Connell. The award comes with a $25 prize.
