The post of president will be up for grabs at the next annual general meeting of the chamber scheduled to take place later this month.

He is currently vice president of the SuperClubs group headed by his father, hotelier, John Issa.
A career hotelier, he was born into a family of tourism entrepreneurs and started out early in the industry while studying overseas. Locally he has held a number of top positions in the hotel industry. These include resident manager at the Grand Lido Hotel, 1989 and general manager, Couples hotel in 1993.
