SuperClubs is to build a 500 room all inclusive resort on the Eastern Caribbean island of St. Lucia. When completed, the St. Lucia resort will bring to nine, the number of all-inclusive resorts controlled largely by the John Issa family.
Senior Vice President, Joe Issa told the NCB Business that local giants Life of Jamaica, Mutual Life, Urban Development Corporation, West Indies Trust, and Carreras, are to work closely with the management of the resorts.
Club Varadero in Cuba and Breezes Bahamas are among the SuperClubs group of resorts, which command a total of 1,825 rooms and employ over 3000 workers. The others are Grand Lido, Sans Souci Lido, Boscobel Beach, Hedonism II (2), Breezes Runaway Bay, and Breezes Montego Bay.
Meanwhile, SuperClubs is giving away a total of $400 million to its staff at a rate of $20 million per year, over 20 years in an incentive programme to coincide with the group’s 20th anniversary.
