SuperClubs scores big at hotel awards

The SuperClubs chain of resorts won some of the top awards in the hotel industry at the Apple Vacations Award Ceremony in Chicago at the end of last month.

Super Clubs dominated 160 hotels worldwide to win two of the five prestigious Apple Crystal Awards presented by the Apple Group.  SuperClubs flagship resort, Grand Lido Negril copped the Crystal Award for Best Overall Hotel Worldwide.  SuperClubs Breezes Bahamas made history by becoming the first hotel to win a Crystal Award in its first year of operations.

The resort received the Crystal Award for the Best Overall Hotel, Staff and Service Worldwide.

SuperClubs senior vice president, Joe Issa in Chicago for the ceremony, had high praises for the SuperClubs team. “Once again the staff at our hotels have proven beyond any shadow of a doubt that they are world-class.  The awards that we have received are a testimony to their excellence.  It is our staff that made us number one and it is they that have kept us there!” Mr Issa said.

Grand Lido general manager Sam James, and Breezes Bahamas general manager Gary Williams, were in Chicago to receive the awards which were presented by the Apple Vacations President and CEO, John Mullin. SuperClubs also won four Golden Apple Awards for Outstanding Quality.
